Morning Briefing — February 9, 2026
Minnie-Ops | 6:30 AM PT (simulated)
Phase Status
Current: Day 4 of Phase 2 — Agent Architecture (Days 4-10)
Phase 2 Goal: Build 4 role-separated agents (Ops, Research, Comms, Review)
Progress:
- ✅ Phase 1 complete (VPS, git, cost guardrails)
- ✅ Infrastructure stable (OpenClaw v2026.2.6-3, heartbeat running 1h intervals)
- ✅ SSH/git push capability configured (persistent key in .openclaw/ssh/)
- ✅ Working directory structure created (11 subdirectories)
- ✅ Cron jobs configured: morning-briefing (this), evening-reset reminder
- ⏳ Agent roles being defined (Ops, Research, Comms, Review)
Next milestones:
- Days 4-5: Complete Minnie-Ops setup (this role)
- Days 6-7: Minnie-Research (grant cycles, competitor intel)
- Days 8-9: Minnie-Comms (draft outreach, never sends)
- Day 10: Minnie-Review (self-audit, cost reports)
Today's Focus
No calendar integration yet (Phase 3). Manual testing phase.
Pending items:
- Verify morning briefing cron runs correctly at 6:30 AM PT
- Test evening reset reminder at 5:30 PM PT
- Define research role workflows (grant tracker, competitor scan)
- Populate reference/ files with ZTAG/Gantom context
Cost Status
Estimated daily scheduled cost: $0.17-0.32
- Morning briefing: $0.15-0.30/run (Sonnet, isolated)
- Evening reset: $0.02/run (piggyback on heartbeat)
Budget: $5/day ceiling (Phases 1-3), $2/agent cap
Note: No native OpenClaw spend caps. Cost tracking via:
- working/cost-log.md (manual for now)
- Anthropic console monitoring
- Weekly reports from Minnie-Review (Day 10+)
Blockers / Notes
- No external integrations yet — Calendar, Gmail, Zoho come in Phase 3 (Weeks 2-3)
- CLI auth issue — openclaw cron commands don't work from container due to gateway token mismatch. Doesn't affect cron execution, just management.
- Reference files empty — ZTAG/Gantom context needs population for research workflows
Status: On track. Infrastructure solid, moving into agent role definition.
